Model European Parliament -a place to be
MODEL EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT - A PLACE TO BE Model European Parliament (MEP) is an educational project that involves simulating the work of the European Parliament. This project is designed to give students from across the European Union a better understanding of the European decision-making process and how the European institutions work. Participants in the Model European Parliament take on the roles of MEPs and, during the simulation, debate and adopt legislative proposals, representing the interests of different European countries. The main aim of the Model European Parliament is to stimulate young people's interest in European affairs, promote intercultural dialogue and develop skills such as negotiation, public speaking, critical thinking and teamwork. This experience gives participants the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the European Union, to form an opinion on topical issues and to interact with colleagues from other European countries. Model European Parliament is not only a simulation exercise, but also a platform for exchanging ideas and gaining a deeper understanding of the diversity and complexity of the European Union.
